Guillermo González Vallina will be the new CEO of the Air Nostrum Group

Guillermo González Vallina will be the new CEO of the Air Nostrum Group.

The current distribution manager of World2Meet (W2M) will take over as CEO of Air Investment Valencia S.L. on February 1, after leaving the company headed by Gabriel Subías.

Air Investment S.L. is the parent company that controls all the aeronautical businesses of the Air Nostrum Group. Guillermo González Vallina will assume the position that has been vacant since the departure of the previous CEO six months ago.

Career Background

In his last position at World2Meet (W2M), Guillermo González Vallina was responsible for the group's entire leisure retail business, with a network of 200 agencies operating under the Azulmarino and Grand Azulmarino brands.

González Vallina was also responsible for the business travel, sports, meetings & events business, and the marketing of the company's own tour operators' products, as well as managing the digital platforms for their distribution.

W2M is the travel division of the Iberostar Group, encompassing all links in the tourism value chain. With 4,400 employees, it is one of the fastest-growing tourism groups worldwide in recent years, having increased its revenue from €800 million in 2019 to an estimated €3.3 billion in 2025.

González Vallina joined W2M in 2022 after working for Iberia for six years. At the airline, he held the positions of Sales Director for Spain, Portugal, and North Africa, as well as Managing Director at Mundiplan.

Previously, he spent eight years at ALSA as Business Development Director and at Viajes El Corte Inglés as Project Manager.

Guillermo González Vallina holds a law degree from the University of Oviedo and a master's degree in sales and marketing for tourism services from the University of Cantabria, as well as having completed an executive development program at IE Business School.
